FAQ
Questions,
answered.
Everything you want to know before handing XPilot access to your X account.
The product
Does it actually sound like me?+
Yes. The onboarding chat is specifically designed to capture your tone, opinions, vocabulary, and style. XPilot doesn't use templates. It generates in your voice.
What if I don't like a post?+
Chat with XPilot. Tell it what you didn't like. It rewrites it. You can edit any individual post, or regenerate an entire week in one message.
Will my followers know it's AI?+
Not unless you tell them. XPilot is trained on your writing style and generates content that sounds like you. Your opinions, your references, your tone.
How long does onboarding take?+
About 5 minutes. You chat with XPilot, tell it what you're building, your opinions, your tone. That's the last time you need to think about it.
How does XPilot adapt over time?+
Every week, XPilot reads your analytics and rewrites the following week's content based on what worked. Posts that drove engagement get more of the same angle. Posts that flopped get retired. You don't ask it to do this. It just does it.
Can I still post manually?+
Yes. XPilot handles your automated schedule, but nothing stops you from posting manually on top of it. Your account, your control.
Security and X access
How does XPilot connect to my X account?+
XPilot uses X OAuth 2.0, the same secure login flow used by major apps. You click 'Connect X', authorize via X's official page, and XPilot receives an access token. Your X password is never seen or stored by XPilot.
What X permissions does it need?+
XPilot uses X API v2 and requests only the minimum scopes required: tweet.read (to pull your analytics and timeline), tweet.write (to post and delete tweets), and users.read (to access your profile info). It never requests access to your DMs.
What data does XPilot store?+
XPilot stores your scheduled posts, past tweet performance data (likes, retweets, impressions), and your onboarding preferences. Your X password is never stored. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to act on your behalf.
Can I disconnect XPilot from my X account?+
Yes, anytime. You can revoke access from X's Connected Apps settings (x.com > Settings > Security > Connected Apps), or disconnect directly from your XPilot account settings. Either way, XPilot immediately loses the ability to post or read your account.
Pricing and billing
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial. No card required to start.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. No contracts, no commitments. Cancel from settings in one click. Your account stays active until the end of the billing period.
What's the difference between plans?+
The main difference is chat message limits and insight depth. Starter gives you 100 chat messages/month and basic weekly insights. Pro gives 500 and adds deep insights, thread support, and algorithm-aware strategy. Ultra gives unlimited chat and priority support.
Can I switch plans?+
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime from your account settings. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
